March 2019 Updates

Over the past six weeks we’ve spent a lot of time polishing Zingtree. We continue to listen to our growing customer base, who has given us great feedback on email delivery, Salesforce, and general usability.

Here’s what’s new since mid-February:

New Features

  • Undeliverable email notifications are sent to authors of the tree from whence the email came from (Email Blacklist Notifications)
  • Added Recent Sessions shortcut tool to main tools page
  • Added Prune function to Overview and Designer
  • Snapshots tool can now copy to a new tree, and shows number of nodes in summary
  • Overview: Simple now has smart “links in” column button – shows only nodes that link to selected node

Fixes

  • Event log times now appear properly for timezone
  • Merge variable names with single quotes no longer cause JS errors
  • Starting remote tasks with spaces in variable names is no longer allowed – spaces are turned into underscores
  • Session Detail page now shows proper back button display when the previous node was a search
  • LIVE trees now properly handle webhooks and apps (i.e. Zapier)
  • API page now shows API key if the user is logged in
  • Node page titles with single quotes no longer show a leading slash in Simple Overview
  • Including popup-modal.js as script code no longer overwrites the session_id (Lasse)
  • Sending with a reply-to on a yahoo.com, rocketmail.com or aol.com email address no longer soft bounces
  • File uploads now check filenames for invalid characters (Christian)
  • Occasional JS error in Preview no longer occurs
  • “Add Another” no longer shows when repeating form is checked and no data entry fields are present
  • Agent Portal Parameter &show_history=0 now works as expected (Rita)
  • Content editor now pastes hyperlinks properly (Holden G.)
  • All Agent Usage report now significantly faster (Christopher S.)
  • Now logs all email sending errors in Event Log
  • Made Document Node editor load faster for more complex document generators (Michael B.)
  • Hosted trees no longer always show the title if the “show history” option is set (Rita)
  • Answers-only option in session history now stays in sync with copy-to-clipboard button (Dr. William)
  • Showing session detail from Gallery trees now works properly
  • Numeric values in document node tests now manage less than and greater than properly. Were being treated as strings previously (Matt W.)

Updates

  • Salesforce Object Updater errors in Event Log now have more detail
  • Email send errors now include node number in Event Log error message
  • Clicks and Engagement report now has a single point for each date, adds table view and CSV Export option
  • List Variables tool can show all variables used by variable name
  • Better for debugging script naming issues.
  • Reorganized Tools page, removed “More Tools”
  • WP plug-in 6.11 adds shortcodes for disable_scroll, scroll_parent_to_top, other_parameters
  • Entering tree tags now has an option to add tags in bulk
  • Settings tool now shows the number of tags
  • Edit Node – Tags tab shows the number of tags
  • Single tool for Exporting trees to CSV or JSON
  • Cleaned up line breaks in Snapshots tool display
  • Salesforce object updater now automatically recognizes object types other than Cases.
  • Pop-up overlay now uses pause-and-resume if reloaded from the same page (without refresh)
  • Event log flags more rejected emails
  • Variables in document node selector are now sorted case insensitive, with duplicates removed (Cathy M.)
  • Variables in logic node editor are sorted case insensitive
  • Shows thumbnail and description of each report on the reports page
  • Missing sf_id parameter in Salesforce object update requests now shows a better error message
  • API get_session_data now includes the “source” in each path item (Max Wang)
  • All Tree Stats now faster, eliminates duration times (Shay C. and others)
  • show_popup_custom() lets a different URL appear for pop-up button option on small screens (Jen)
  • Email nodes (forms and auto sent) now include a BCC option. (Lasse)
  • Uses default style instead of classic for stock themes (Deb)
